Privacy policy

In short: CamCode does not collect, store or share any of your data. The code it reads exists only on screen, while the result is open.

Effective: October 28, 2026 · App: CamCode (iPhone, iPad and Android)

1. What the app does with what the camera sees

The camera shows the live image and the app looks in it for barcodes and QR codes. No photo is taken or saved: the camera frame is analyzed in the device's memory and discarded. The app has no server, asks for no account and uses no ads, analytics or tracking.

2. Camera

The app asks for camera access to read codes. It only uses the camera while it is open. Without the permission the app cannot read anything, and you can grant it later in the device settings.

3. Code recognition

4. The scan result

The code you read appears in a panel and only exists while it is open: the app keeps no history. When you tap Copy, the text goes to the system clipboard and becomes available to other apps, like any copied text. When you tap Open in browser, the link opens in your browser; from then on, the privacy policy and terms of that site apply, and the developer has no access to any of it. Check the address before opening links from unknown sources.

5. What is stored

Nothing. The app has no settings or history, and it does not record the codes it reads.

6. What the app does not do

7. Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, of any age.

8. Changes to this policy
