The photo taken with the camera is never saved: the text is read in your device's memory and the picture is discarded right after. Nothing is sent to anyone and the developer has no access to anything.
What the app does
- Opens straight on the camera: point it at a page, a sign, a label or a screen and tap the button to take the photo.
- Prefer a photo you already have? The button at the top opens the gallery, and the app only receives the photo you pick.
- Shows the recognized text on its own screen, where you can select any part of it.
- Copies all the text with one tap or shares it with any app: messages, mail, notes and more.
- Reads the text aloud with the iPhone's voices, picks the voice from the language of the text and lets you adjust the speed (0.5x, 0.75x, 1x or 1.25x).
- Tap to focus, pinch to zoom and a flashlight for dark places.
- The text is recognized on the device itself, with no internet. No account, no ads and no tracking. In English and Portuguese.
How it works
- Photograph the text, or pick a photo from the gallery.
- See the recognized text on the result screen.
- Copy, share or listen. When you close the screen, the text is gone: the app keeps no history.
