Privacy policy

In short: Album does not collect, store on its own servers or share any of your data. Your photos and albums stay on your device and, on iPhone, in your iCloud.

Effective: October 28, 2026 · App: Album (iPhone and Android)

1. What the app stores

Albums, compressed copies of your photos, descriptions, tags, dates and, on iPhone and only if you allow it, the location of each album. This data stays on your device. The app has no server, asks for no account or login, and uses no ads, analytics or tracking.

2. Sync (iPhone)

On iPhone, if you use iCloud, your data syncs across your devices through CloudKit, in the private space of your Apple Account. The developer has no access to that content. Storage in iCloud follows Apple's policy.

3. Backup (Android)

There is no sync on Android. The backup is an .album file that you create and keep wherever you like (Drive, a card, your computer). The file contains your albums, tags and the compressed copies of your photos, so keep it as carefully as you would your own photos. The app only reads the file you choose when restoring. Android's automatic backup is turned off for the app.

4. System permissions

You can revoke any permission at any time in your device's settings.

5. Map

On iPhone, maps and address search use Apple Maps, subject to Apple's privacy policy. The Android app has no map.

6. What the app does not do

7. Deleting your data

Deleting an album removes its photos from the app (and from iCloud, on iPhone). Uninstalling the app removes the local data. Original photos in your library are not changed. Backup files you created stay wherever you saved them.

8. Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, of any age.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top will be updated.
